Raku Vase

$20.00

Raku is a distinct form of pottery. This vase was heated, dipped in a yeast mixture, and then covered with wood chips and lit on fire. The journey ended with a dunk in cool water. Surviving this saga is only for the strongest of pots and this one turned out beautifully. Slightly warped at the rim in Crooked Pottery style, Raku pots survive the fires but cannot safely hold water. Use this as a vase with a liner or display it as a lovely example of survival. 4 inches tall, 3.5 across the rim, 4 inches at its widest.
