My Story

My name is Deb Costello, and I am a retired math teacher, amateur photographer, wife, human and dog mom, and beginning potter. For the past couple of years, I have been learning to make pottery. I love playing in the mud and learning how to create lovely things. At this point I need to make room for new pots and so this website is a place where you can find handmade items for the cost of materials and shipping. I don’t need to become rich. I just want to keep going on this adventure and more than anything else, I need space.

I hope you find something you love at a price that you can afford. Handmade items are nothing like what you buy at a store. Handmade work is always imperfect, crooked by nature. The results are never as precise as those made by machines and repeated procedures. Every piece you find here is unique, and I do not have the skills or interest in making the same thing over and over. My work at this point is probably best described as “rustic.” I’m hoping that rustic is just what you’re looking for. What I do love about this journey is the learning, the creative process, and the community that I have found. Your support helps me keep going, and I am deeply grateful for it.
