This vase is bigger than my usual work. I was experimenting with tape lines to create the checkered pattern on an undulating surface. In some places the glaze did not adhere perfectly. Some squares are speckled, some are not, but overall the work created a pleasing shape and design. This vase is 6 inches tall, 4 inches across the opening and 8 inches at its widest.
